If (as the Epstein files seem to suggest ) we are ruled by a band of degenerate, possibly even satanic, criminals…then why should anyone follow the laws they’ve set?
I mean that seriously. If the people at the top are corrupt in that way, why isn’t there open anarchy?
Why isn’t there revolution? Why does society just keep functioning?
Epstein once said the reason there isn’t a revolution is because Jay-Z.
In other words, entertainment. Bread and circuses.
You’ve got the entertainment industry. You’ve got sports.
You’ve got pornography, which a very efficient sterilizer of the mind. You won’t have much energy to act on moral outrage if you’ve poured acid on the roots of your soul.
Imam Al-Ghazali wrote a whole book on how unrestrained lust and gluttony can put you on a hamster wheel of self-destruction.
And that’s one reason I create sword & sorcery..
There is an element of escapism, sure. But it’s also a kind of low-key “detox” from the Jay Z-like content we are all exposed to these days.
