AI Strikes Back: The Quiet Censorship of Your Books

Have you heard of Zach Vorhies, the Google whistleblower? He revealed an AI system that re-ranks the internet based on Google’s ideological values.

Now, he’s warning of something even more chilling: a crusade against books.

Yes, books—the last bastion of decentralized, offline knowledge.

Vorhies suggests there might soon be a subtle effort to destroy or manipulate this knowledge.

It’s not just about books; old movies and TV shows could be edited by AI to fit certain narratives.

Spooky, right?

In 2021, Amazon deleted “When Harry Became Sally” from its Kindle store and Audible platform for ideological reasons. It caused a stir and showed that, in theory, they could do the same with any book in your Kindle library—unless you have an offline backup.

it’s really up to the discretion of the publisher. if they choose to allow you to download a PDF file–all well and good…..

But if they choose not to, then—unless there’s some way to get a physical copy– you’re in a bind.

This isn’t just about prose books, though. Comic books and manga are at risk too.

And that brings me to my “The Brotherhood of the Wolf” comic book series….

Want to know why there will never be a digital version of my comic books?

Simple.

I don’t want my comic book to be censored–or deleted–by Big Tech.

I also don’t want my works of art to be subjected to the quirks of a smaller screen, low resolution, or someone’s computer settings. I’m controlling how this thing is printed because I want you to experience it in all its glory, in natural light, not off a black screen.

Think of it like this: if you want to enjoy a painting–you go to the museum. You don’t just gape at it from your computer. Plus, your physical copies of “The Brotherhood of the Wolf” stories have resale value–unlike a digital version.

As George Orwell said in his dystopian novel 1984, “He who controls the past controls the future; he who controls the present controls the past.”

I don’t want the Dajjalic system to control anything. Do you?

We’re now on the fourth page of pencils for our short story, “The Lesser Evil: Where Angels Fall, Monsters Rise.” I’m particularly excited about this page because I have a soft spot for gladiatorial combat. You’ll find that the “Brotherhood of the Wolf” series depicts combat in a way that jumps—or in this case, splatters—off the page.

P.S. Over the past 9 months, the Israeli Diaper Force used various AI systems like “Lavender” and “Where’s Daddy?” to wreak havoc on the civilian population of Gaza. While I’m not affiliated with them, consider supporting Islamic Relief’s work in Palestine.
